Kardamili – Stoupa

In a stunning area in the southern Peloponnese, in an impressively theatrical scenery, full of contrasts of crystal clear blue waters, majestic cypresses, wild olive groves, green slopes and distant snow-capped mountains, is Kardamili, a beautiful seaside village on the eastern edge of the Messinian Gulf.

It was preserved as a small or big city, with its ancient name for 3,240 years. It is Kardamili the Archaic, the Messinian, of the Liberal Laconians, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Kardamili of Mani, of the Captains and the Troupades, or Mourtzinon.

We depart from the port of Kalamata at 10:00 in the morning with a first stop in the picturesque Kardamili where we stop to swim in the blue waters and enjoy a delicious meal (BBQ).

Stoupa in the Messinian Mani is one of the destinations of Albatros II.

Here Nikos Kazantzakis wrote 📖 “Βίος και Πολιτεία του Αλέξη Ζορμπά”.

We stop for 1.30 hour to enjoy the blue waters, the sun and a coffee or juice of your choice..
You can also disembark and visit it until 15:00, which is the time to departure for our return to the port of Kalamata at 17:00.
